Expirate

We found a problem for people who is impaired vision. They are difficult to identify a medicine expiration date. A medicine product is challenging for them. First, a medicine is rare to consume, so they often forget of a exp date. Second, they usually do a video call to their family or friends, but not every time they are available. Third, if people consume expired medicine, the effect can be fatal.

So, we build Expirate to help blind people identify medicine expiration date. Our solution uses OCR and Machine Learning (ML) to identify medicine/vitamin’s expiration date so that visually impaired people can ensure safety of their medicine consumption independently.
